Hello and thank you for visiting my art page. I have been heavily influenced by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and more recently Childe Hassam. Their use of thick texture, bold brushstrokes and vivid colors has inspired me and helped make me the artist I am today. Art has played an important role in my life and I am thankful for the inspiration and joy it has brought me through the years.

As an enthusiastic and eager young boy I often drew my favorite superheroes out of comic books. For years I spent countless hours lying on the floor with colored pencils drawing Captain America, Spiderman and many others. As I grew a bit older my interests turned to sports and girls.

By the time I turned 22 I found myself married with a beautiful daughter. Soon thereafter my interest in art began to reemerge. I started drawing again for fun and entered a contest from the back of a matchbook cover. I won the contest and got a free home trial course from the Minnesota School of Art. I completed the course and received basic drawing skills along with a certificate of completion. This small but important achievement set the stage for my career.

I started a minimum wage job at Keezer Mfg in Plaistow, NH, hand drawing letters on banners and pennants. sIx months later I was running their art department, but unfortunately the money and benefits were not good.

In the pursuit of insurance and more money I left the job at Keezer in 1980 and started working for AT&T in North Andover, MA as an entry level hand inserter. And as luck would have it, a job opening in their art department was posted and with my certificate from Minnesota School of Art and my experience at Keezer, I got the job. AT&T offered a great tuition reimbursement program which I took advantage of by enrolling in Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and majoring in painting. It proved to be very difficult working full time and going to school but in 1992 I graduated with a bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a wealth of knowledge and a ton ambition. 

Today I continue to paint with the same passion and enthusiasm I had as a young boy. In 2016 I was invited to go to Poland and test as  painter forth the feature film "Loving Vincent" A movie about the life of Vincent Van Gogh which was made from 67,000 oil paintings. In 2017 I finished my year long challenge to paint one "cube" per day for one year and had a painting excepted at the John Greenleaf Whittier Birthplace Museum in Haverhill Massachusetts.

My work has been featured in many galleries in New England and I am becoming very well  known for painting live.having been commissioned by the town of Amesbury to paint live at the finish line of the 2016 Fireball Run in downtown Amesbury, the 2017 Town Hall Art Show and the Music in the Pines Event. Also commissioned in 2017  by Green Stride Runners to paint live at he finish line of the Earth, Rock Run Race. If you are interested in purchasing my artwork please see "contact page".
